In this position you are a subject matter expert known for your extensive knowledge of enterprise security technology. You have extensive experience with the Cisco VPN/Security product lines, including Voice, PIX 500 series, IOS Security, CSA, IPS, & VMS. We are looking for that special individual who enjoys the hands-on systems engineering experience but also enjoy being an interface between Operations and the Architectural groups. You must also be able to manage, multi-task, and handle multiple projects while maintaining top rate service delivery to our customers.
RSI is looking for a technical Cisco enterprise expert. This is a senior technical role accountable for the development and on-going support of medium to large network implementations that may include vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, secure network design, IDS, IPS, firewalls, voice, and related technologies. Additionally, individuals must be able to work with compliance issues and policy development. A strong understanding of the technologies used to implement comprehensive solutions is required along with preferred experience in writing policy and addressing compliance issues with regulations such as HIPAA, GLBA, and SOX. This job requires your ability to gather and analyze information about the client and their infrastructure, understand their business challenges, and provide end-to-end network security installation, integration and optimization support. It requires the ability to work in a virtual team environment and to collaborate on the development of innovative, tailored solutions for clients and prospects.
Results are what a Senior Network and/or Systems Engineer is all about - solve the customer's problem!!! They must be detailed oriented, competitive, high energy and communicate in a way that allows the customer to feel that they are helping and learning at the same time. Actions are doing what it takes to solve the problem or quickly escalate it when appropriate.
Technical Skills and Qualifications:
*CCIE
*5+ years experience with Cisco based hardware and software, PIX, VPN Concentrators, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Sensors, CSA, ACS, VMS and IOS Security.
*5-6 years of hands on general networking experience
*Extensive knowledge of router based VPN, Firewall, and encryption technologies a bonus.
*Excellent LAN/WAN troubleshooting skills as wellas excellent writing, documentation, and communication skills.
*3-5 years experience supporting sales teams and client resources to successfully deliver technical solutions a bonus.
